Sled Repair

At AAT we have developed an extensive catalog of FAA-certified repair capabilities for better-than-new AS1-021 Series Composite Litter Repair. Due to excessive wear and abuse in emergency situations, the LifePort AS1-021/Sled will develop cracks, holes, & in some cases major damage to the composite body. We have a FAA approved repair that allows us to repair the composite damage & weld repair the hand rails back to a serviceable condition. See process below:

 

  1. Repair composite damage using FAA-approved procedures.

  2. Repair handrails with state-of-the-art welding capabilities. Handrails on the side of the litter will get damaged due to the locking mechanism on the aircraft.

  3. Reassemble unit.

  4. Return Sled with 8130 and/or EASA Cert.

 

Note: Each repair is accompanied with 8130/EASA release.

Med Decks

At AAT we have developed an extensive catalog of FAA-certified repair capabilities for better-than-new Med-Deck Repairs. Med-Decks help secure the Sleds in the cabin and often they get damaged due to high impact during taxi, take off or landing. They get cracks or dents over time. AAT has an FAA approved repair that uses state of the art composite techniques that will return your Med-Deck to as good as new condition with an 8130 and/or EASA cert. The process entails the following:

  • Identify cracks and dents through the NDT process

  • Repair or replace the aluminum honeycomb panels 

  • Paint the panels
