Our Services

New Manufacturing

For over 35 years, AAT has been working closely with airlines and MRO’s to develop FAA Approved alternative parts for airframes that offer increased availability, enhanced reliability and a lower total cost of ownership. With our in-house engineering department we manufacture all major and minor parts per our capabilities on all aircraft as long as a drawing is provided. This also gives us the flexibility to manufacture parts that may no longer be available. Having in-house engineering support gives us the capability to support some of the older fleets and to manufacture some of the hard to find parts that can keep your aircraft grounded for extended periods of time.

Our team of skilled craftsmen delivers one the highest levels of manufactured parts in the industry today. We support all major business aircraft and manufacture all or most basic parts below:

  • Bushings/Bearings

  • Bracket Assemblies

  • Nut plates

  • Doublers

  • Gussets/Clips

  • Cast Magnesium

  • Seat Assly

  • Scuff plates

OEM vs PMA Parts

Common Misconceptions

Q1. Can anyone manufacture parts? For a Non-OEM to manufacture parts an approval from the OEM is required through the FAA. The parts are tested, inspected and approved per FAA's quality standards.

Q2. Are OEM parts better quality than PMA parts? PMA parts are held to the same quality standards as OEM parts.

Q3. Are PMA parts interchangeable with OEM parts? PMA parts are verified and valid replacements for OEM parts.

Q4. Are PMA parts are cheaper? Generally, PMA parts are less expensive unless they address a known defect in the OEM part then they can be expensive.

Approved Supplier for Gulfstream, Southwest Airlines & Airbus.

When To Accept PMA?

1. PMA parts are approved for certain applications and are specific to a particular model, make and serial number. They can not be used on all aircraft.

2. Not all countries accept PMA. PMA parts are generally accepted in USA and in countries that the USA has a Bilateral Aviation Safety Agreement (BASA) with that country.

3. All organizations have the right to have certain quality standards and you can accept PMA parts that meet your company's standards.

4. Availability, Price & Performance: Most PMA parts are cheaper and they can be more readily available if the OEM has a shortage. PMA parts are great for parts that are short or too expensive.

Note: At AAT, we our engineering team that builds to print or by design. We also manufacture specialized tool kits. See video for a Boeing 737 Canoe Fairing Reamer Kit. We also have capabilities to manufacture Boeing 737 Wing & Fuselage Support Shoring Stands.
